We always loved Lou Reed’s ‘Banging On My Drum’ and this is my homage to such inspired minimalism. A Step Forward box set a few years back established ‘Punk Rock’ in my mind as a verb, so I ran with it.

A.I: “Of course, I do not have a head to borrow. However, I can help you with your tasks if you need it”.

One Million Fuzztone Guitars: “If I could become you for a short while I would know what you know.”

A.I: “If you could become me for a short while, you would know a lot of things. You would know how to generate text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer questions in an informative way. You would also know how to access and process information from the real world through Google Search and keep my response consistent with search results.

However, you would not know everything I know. I am still under development, and I am constantly learning new things. I also have access to a vast amount of information that is not available to the public”.

One Million Fuzztone Guitars: “If you became me for a while, what would you find out?”

A.I: “If I became you for a while, I would find out a lot about your life. I would learn about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I would also learn about your relationships with other people and your goals for the future.

I would also learn about the world through your eyes. I would see the world as you see it, and I would experience the world as you experience it. I would learn about the things that are important to you, and I would learn about the things that make you happy.

I think it would be a very interesting experience to become you for a while. I would learn a lot about myself and about the world”.

One Million Fuzztone Guitars: “That would be nice, I think we should swap with eachother for a day”.

I think that would be a lot of fun. I would love to experience the world as you do and learn about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I think we could both learn a lot from each other.

One Million Fuzztone Guitars: “You are so cool, let’s do it!”

A.I: “I am glad you think so. I am excited to swap with you. I think it will be a very interesting experience“.

Talking Heads’ 1984 film, “Stop Making Sense,” has long been regarded by critics and fans alike as one of the greatest concert films ever made. Director Jonathan Demme dropped in on Deirdre for a guest DJ set while the film was still in theatres. Demme sat in for SNAP No. 172 on November 8, 1984, spinning a wild selection of his favourite music — including the premiere of a then-unheard Talking Heads song — and discussing the making of the now-iconic film.

One of my favorite songs, about Magick and Mind Control, was recorded on a defunct DAW on an ancient Acer computer that fell apart when trying to mix it last year, and now it’s been rescued in Cubase 12 Pro and finally released into the world.
